WHAT IS THAT ACTUALLY A THING BEYOND GOT RIGHT OVER TOS HOLD THE PHONES EVERYBODY THAT ADMIRAL LADY AND AAAA  progress?  See?  This belief in progress that Star Trek has?  Well, there was some progress and every time that happens it’s great but we need to keep striving for better.

The only really sexist thing I see atm is the idea that there are no female Starfleet Captains.  Though…actually…hmm.  I don’t think I remember many gold shirts, but I don’t remember the number of females.  Only that the background shots actually showed more variety than normal which seriously Hollywood if you’ve gotten worse since the 60s?  that’s totally on you.

And that betrayed look on Bones’ face?  Yeeeah, that’s a thing.

Did you ever consider that maybe it wasn’t a ‘women can’t be Captains’ thing and was, instead, a ‘people who are that mentally unbalanced and meds don’t work can’t be Captains’?  ‘Cause I know she’s got a persecution complex, but I’d like to think that in the future, there are women Starfleet captains.
