Star Trek: The Omega Glory (First Watch: S2E23)

Death/injury count: A lot of the Exeter. Galloway hurt.  And then phasered to death.  Lots of yangs and kohms.  Kirk, probably concussion.  Spock, stunned.

I love how in this show when they say a name it’s any guess as to what they look like.  There’s not many shows where it’s the case.  (okay, it did end up a white male, but still.)

Not another thing where they turn into salt…

One of the most experienced captains huh?

Well, that’s not 100% accurate, but percentage-wise + weird science close enough

This captain is wearing grey.  What why no wait is that blue?  Is that a science captain???

I’VE SEEN THIS EPISODE TOO it came on the tv.

Another Captain going mad with power, if I remember.

Well, not just disease, they’d have to cut down on the lessening of the telomeres.

Oh hey was this the direct Cold War analogue.

That was a lot less accurate than usual, Spock.  You didn’t have parts of seconds or anything.

Bones is just so used to Kirk breaking out that he’s just like “Good morning”

That shrug, though.

That look of utter horror, like “yeah, okay, stunning’s a thing and so are fisticuffs but AN AXE?  ARE YOU A BARBARIAN?”

*laughs* introduces another Kirk fighting move, the ‘jump them like you’re about to kiss them’ move.

“They fought the war your planet avoided” and, with the grace of God or whatever Powers That Be are out there, will continue to avoid.

“You’re a romantic, Jim.”  You say that like it’s a bad thing.

That captain is one of the worst that they’ve been against.

Actually, so far, who else in Starfleet has been shown to be competent or good?

(uh what happened to touch telepathy?)
