Star Trek: Amok Time (First Watch: S2E1)

Oh, hey, this randomly came on earlier & I saw the end of it.  In the notion of fair disclosure or whatever.

Death/hurt count: Well, Kirk got hurt & would’ve died if Bones hadn’t been awesome.  Spock would’ve died if they hadn’t fixed things.  1 computer died with a vengeance.

“Kirk, I’m not sure but I think your Vulcan might be broken.”  “I thought they were indestructible.”  “Apparently the iceberg disagrees with the Titanic.”  “What?”

Chapel, why are you even trying to escape?

Oh, she’s still got a crush.  Right.

It might be easier to answer you if you hadn’t just ran off like a crazy.

Also is Uhura singing the theme?

I’m trying to help—you’re overriding my orders, and I do like having the chain of command be a thing.  I really want to try to help but without knowing what’s going on…

Kirk looks really worried.  And Bones’ accent gets stronger when he’s worried.

That’s the point when I wondered whether he was looking at Vulcan porn and turned off the computer so they wouldn’t see.

His face as he says the word ‘reproduction’.  Kirk, you’re so.  I shouldn’t be laughing during this scene but it’s funny.

I wonder why this didn’t have anything to do with the shipping, too (especially ABO which I don’t read because it’s not my thing)

“Did you ever wonder” and Kirk just looks horrified, either because he’s thought about it before or he’s not.

Second time through, that acting is phenomenal.  You really sold that, Bones.

(I didn’t see that one coming the first time around but I enjoyed it.  Bones being awesome is awesome.
