Unorthodox Procedures

I'm kind of happy with this one, but it's definitely a little odd.  This Jim has a different view of kissing and even sex than most.  For him, a kiss on the lips is kind of intimate, but not necessarily sexual.  Just like sex often means less because it's a survival necessity.
He sees Pike and Boyce as parents who are actually involved in his life, who care.  He loves them with few reservations, because once you make it past all his walls you're through.  He tries to tamp down on his usual instincts (flirting, which he barely even notices, kisses and touches) because he realizes how reputations can be ruined and because he knows that they see the world differently, even with how much effort they've put into trying to understand and accommodate him, which helps earn his loyalty.
