“Miho called in the big guns. Me,” Jounouchi states cheerfully, and when she refuses to get up sounds a little more concerned. “Seriously, you okay, Anzu?”
She doesn’t mean to say anything, just to ignore him, but a miserable sound escapes her throat instead.
He sits on the couch opposite her, waiting for her to say something, but the silence just stretches out awkwardly instead. “You know, if you don’t tell me what’s wrong, I’ll just have to camp out here on your couch, eating all your food.”
Usually, a promise like that would get some kind of reaction from her, but instead she just turns over to face the couch so she doesn’t have to see his disappointed face.
