NCIS

Well, Season One is definitely very different.  Gibbs is sneaky, but I don't remember him pulling this many fast moves (switching out bodies, etc).  Tony pretty much only is there for comic relief at the moment.  Guess he hasn't gotten his action hero on yet.  Because, seriously, it's, like, pick on DiNozzo season.  Kate I don't fully like.  I'm all for feminism, but she reminds me of the bad side of feminism (i.e. let's pick on the menfolk because I happen to have been picked on myself for something I'm born with that I can't control).  Just taking a stand right now and saying that shouldn't happen to anyone.  (EDIT: somehow I forgot the other side of the coin, where she's a bleeding heart to contrast the 'heartless, unable to empathize' men.  Except that her brand of empathy is selective and usually involves her caring about all the wrong people, who will cheerfully kill the team if given the chance.  Like she insists on.  Lucky that doesn't happen, given that most survive for later seasons, but it's a terrible flaw and doesn't make her more likeable.  If you have to give someone empathy, do it!  Just don't make it so stupidly 'bad guy' selective.  Or give them a few good traits, not just glaring flaws.)  Ducky and Abby remain awesome.  I could definitely see Abby listening to Birthday Massacre, which is cool.
The more I watch, the more my fickle Xander!muse is okay with the idea of being either Abby or Tony's brother/half-brother, or Gibbs' son.  I can see where the Kojak thing came from in one of the NCIS/Buffy crossovers over at Twisting the Hellmouth.  One of the best crossovers, actually.  I could look it up but then I'd probably read it again and I definitely have more homework to do as I listen to/watch NCIS.  I'd be totally cool with that if the muse could actually settle on a storyline and if I didn't have multiple other things I'm trying to write at the moment.
