            Kaiba is not going to start talking to the eyeball, no matter how much or how hard it stares at him.  He’s seen what happens if you start mixing with magic.  You end up kidnapping people and having your goons threatening them with guns and placing dungeons in your childhood cartoon castle.  Or (as harmless as it might seem at first glance) you end up getting schizophrenia and acting like you’re two different people and thinking that you’re a spirit from Egypt or something.  Seto can hardly be described as a non-risktaker, but every chance he takes is calculated.  He’s not going to just wander into a maelstrom that he doesn’t even need out of some misguided sense of curiosity and dare the world to do its worst.  He’s seen its worst.  There’s no sense in tempting whatever malicious irony might lie in store when there’s not even a payoff.
