Koual: The Bazaar has two components: Merchants, who will sell your wares for a fee, and Bazaar chat, where you can hawk those things you wanna sell yourself. Plus: unlike other worlds, if you wanna hear this stuff elsewhere in the game, you can turn on the Bazaar chat tab, but if you don’t—no spam. It’s also one of the most social areas in the game—if you wanna just chat/RP, this is usually the place to do it. (That, and the restaurants, but.)
Of course, just like most vendors, you can also just sell your stuff directly do the vendors, but it’s not really convenient to lug it all that way when you can clear your packs quicker at other places. (The Bazaar is, generally, neutral. There’s an associated Allegiance, but it doesn’t do as much as other Allegiance-tied vendors, and doesn’t have as many levels of Allegiance grinding, especially Satomi Tadashi (it’s what it’s there for! Yes, grinding and gold. Or, y’know, yen). The restaurants are completely neutral. Bazaar chat sales with the Allegiance will end up giving you more money, htough (this comes outta nowhere, it doesn’t end up making the bidder pay even more than they’d planned) so that’s something interesting.
