Note: the song this time is very Yugi (well, early Yugi, anyway)--especially that one scene in the diner (S0).  "Everyone's so brave," he says, and suddenly this song is stuck in my head.  Thought I'd share.  (And, personality-wise, Joey might fit Tigger-slightly hyperactive/talkative.  Except he's scared of ghosts.  Tristan's Eeyore.)

"We’re here,” the driver announces, and Téa starts.  Mai glances at her and winks, causing Yugi to blush.  His grip grows more unsure, but he doesn’t actually let go of her hand.  He’d apparently lost track of what was going on, too.  And that’s…that’s nice.
Téa finds herself smiling at nothing and hurriedly glances out the window.  And…finds her grip in Yugi’s hand tighten unconsciously.  From the firmer grip back, it seems that that she’s not alone in her feeling of worry.
               And then Yugi’s choking.  “J-Joey!  Can’t…breathe!”
“S-sorry, Yuug.”  The blond backs off a little from his death grip on his shorter friend like the guy’s his own personal teddy bear.  “I don’t like da look of dis place.”
“I had no idea,” Yugi mutters under his breath, massaging his throat with his free hand, before taking a deep breath.  “We’ll be fine,” he reassures with a smile, and Téa starts.  That’s his voice.  Yami’s.  It’s not just deeper, more mature; it’s exactly his.  Is her memory just playing tricks on her, showing her things that can’t be?  That smile is assured, but the kindness is definitely Muto.
But no.  Mai looks startled, staring in shock at where the Puzzle would have hung, so maybe it’s not just in her head.
“It’s unlocked,” the man says unnecessarily, and Yugi’s taking a step out of the vehicle with all of Yami’s confidence.  His hand is a little sweaty, but it’s completely steady, and Téa follows.  As much as she doesn’t like the fog and giant castle jutting out of it, she trusts the King of Games.  Her boyfriend.  (That’s weird.  It’ll probably stop being weird, eventually, but that’s hard to even imagine.)
               The others follow reluctantly.
“So, you managed to make it without getting attacked, kidnapped or brainwashed,” a voice states dryly.  Apparently, that voice is enough to distract Joey from his fear, at least for a little, long enough to clench his fists and grit his teeth.  “I’m impressed.”
“Have you managed to translate those texts yet?” Yugi asks brightly, but by the way Kaiba stiffens that’s not as innocent as it appears.
“Piece of cake,” he growls back.  “But what you should really be worried about, King of Games, is that my bond with Blue Eyes has become stronger, so you better hope you don’t face me in this tournament.”
Yugi blinks, eyes wide.  As usual, it seems like the two are having some sort of conversation that the rest of them aren’t hearing.  “That’s great, Seto!” he exclaims, and blue eyes roll in response.
“The next time I need a cheer, I’ll just ask.  There’s enough of a pep squad to go around, after all.”  He glances down and sees them holding hands, and snorts.  “Finally got up the courage, huh?”
Joey lets out a strangled sound.  “Tell me I didn’t agree wit Kaiba back dere,” he begs Tristan.
“You two pretty much said the same thing, except in Joey-speak and Kaiba-speak,” Tristan answers, laughing at Joey coughing and spluttering.
Kaiba looks less than pleased himself, but doesn’t comment.  “Well, maybe you won’t want to share your entire cheerleader squad.”
“Thanks,” Yugi states, as if Kaiba had just offered his congratulations instead of insulting them.  Again.  He looks around and then back to his rival.  “Where’s…?”
“Mokuba’s watching via computer.  I don’t trust tournaments anymore.”
               “Probably wise,” Yugi admits.
“Speaking of which,” Kaiba states, crossing his arms, “…if this is Pegasus’s idea of a joke, he’s not going to like the punch line.”
“You know who’s running this tournament?” Mai asks, attention distracted from (once again interrogating?) the driver.
Kaiba gestures grandly at their surroundings.  “Who else couldn’t resist such a maddeningly theatric setting?”
“Oh, I dunno, you maybe?” Joey mutters sarcastically, and Téa covers up a laugh.
“Well, shall we go inside?  We have to wait for the others to show up, but after that, the games can begin!”  The driver…isn’t reacting to any of it.  Maybe he’s just trying to be polite, or not get in the way of something that really isn’t worth it.
