i thought about buffy or willow bringing it up but they don't seem too concerned.  Which might be because guys are writing it (mostly; marti noxon being a counterexample) and don't typically consider such things, but also inspired a point in here.  also illustrating differences between this xander, canon xander, and majima (somewhat, see my long meta on yakuza 5 for more details on that assuming you've experienced it/don't mind spoilers).

Main Points:
Buffy/Yakuza AU (Slayer's Mad Whelp)
Chapter Summary:
Xander points out a flaw in the ISWC facility plans.
Word Count: 805
Rating: Teen
Warning: women's rights (which are in danger so that might be upsetting to read)

Xander sighs and shakes his head, then leans over.  “I can’t believe I’m the one bringing this up,” he announces, and then points at the plans.  “But you’re missing something big here.  I mean, you’re basically just improving on the old designs made by Watchers Old and Crusty, and also problems with one Slayer are much smaller than problems of Many Slayer, so it probably didn’t occur to either of you, and as far as I know both of you were pretty good about safe hanky panky, but you’re gonna need doctors.  Witches.  A special section that’s not just all about the woundage.”
“Oh!” Willow exclaims, blushing scarlet; Buffy, on the other hand, still looks confused.
“Tiny humans.  They happen sometimes,” he adds, feeling a pang; Buffy probably hadn’t had time to fantasize about having a family or decide she didn’t want to have kids.  Like a lot of choices, they’d been taken from her, and sure, he could rail about the unfairness inherent in the system, but that wouldn’t do any good and since they’ve been through it, they know what to avoid, which is of the good, right?  “I’m still trying to get a few more personnel for the island and know from personal experience it’ll be a challenge.  Easier for you, since for the most part the patients would be entirely human, but.  With reluctance, I will share the names of the ones I’ve talked to and haven’t signed on yet, in case you wish to poach.  They deserve to have options even if I’ll be a sad panda if I lose them.”
Buffy, it seems, took offense to him being the one to bring it up.  Which is fair, but someone had to.  “I still can’t believe you made a demon brothel,” she mutters, and Willow rubs the bridge of her nose.  She’s probably heard this argument even more than him, which is a lot.
“Not all demons, not a brothel, and hey, even if it happened to be, that’d be fine.  As long as all the violence is consensual, they all use safewords, and nobody actually ends up dead.”  He makes his voice more cheery than he feels, because if he responds seriously, that’ll just make Buffy more angry.  “Women have needs and wants too, and that’s okay.”  He tries to communicate with his one-eyed stare that that can include Buffy and she gets to make her own decisions and doesn’t have to sacrifice everything for the mission.  “On the practical side, even mystical contraception fails sometimes, and women need to have options.  Their body, their choice only goes so far if they don’t have access.”
“I can probably have the coven help until we get something more permanent in play,” Willow suggests, and it’s enough to make Buffy’s glare go away.
“I would have loved to be worried about normal teenage things,” she admits, and he nods.  It’s not like he hasn’t known her for so long to have not figured out her first response to feeling hurt and insecure is anger and occasionally violence.  It’s the coping mechanism that’s been drilled into her for years.  Into all of them, really.  Figuring out alternate approaches is taking its time.
“Hey, plus side about dating vampires: they are their own contraception, being dead,” he jokes, wincing a little when she hits his arm playfully.  She might never figure out normal-person strength, honestly.
“You are the worst,” she tells him, but she’s smiling so she doesn’t really mean it.  “So, how does your business work, anyway?”
He thinks, then, aha, personal experience.  “So, sometimes people go to bars to just…talk to the bartender.  Maybe flirt, maybe have a kind of advice-slash-therapy session.  Sometimes drinks are more like the price of entry, rather than the goal.”
“Huh.”  It sounds like that helped.  “And you’ve got humans and demons?”
“All carefully vetted by Willow, mostly because I gave the task to Aura.  Willow had justified-by-past-history paranoia and wanted to do it herself.  We cater to everyone—people who want to flirt, people who just want a best friend, a wide range of sexualities, genders…there’s a special section of only-human for Those Not In The Know, but that’s more a necessity thing.  People including demons being people, sometimes things get messy.  They do go out on sanctioned quote-unquote dates, but any sex is strictly their choice and not on clock—I make sure to pay them enough that they shouldn’t feel it’s necessary, and I’ve asked them and there’s no complaints.  No groping in the club, no violence, nothing nonconsensual.”
“I bet you enjoy throwing those customers out,” Buffy comments knowingly, and he plays with the dagger at his side, grinning.
“I do have bouncers and a showman’s approach to deal with that,” he protests, but it’s also very carefully not a denial either.
