an explanation of AO3 tags: tag all the characters.  tag relationships. then think about your work and tag your story type: a reveal, specific kinks (if lemon/E/M), hurt/comfort, all that jazz.  finally, have fun with it. use extra tags to write pithy author's comments. done.
alternate explanation: what would you want to know about the fic if you're looking for it?  like, if you're searching for similar fic on AO3, what would you put in search terms?  put that in your tags.
