(as a reader) pet peeve: for the love of all that is holy please switch paragraphs when someone new is talking. it helps with understandability and flow and makes it look more professional paragraph length-wise besides. i will immediately back out of a fic if you don't
(note this is not directed at anyone in particular, it's just something I've seen over many years of reading fanfic and it bugs me because i want to read the story!  i have a feeling there's something really good there!  i just...can't.)
