(some back story, since I kind of feel like this drabble 'verse seems...finished. Since Yugi died, he and Yami kind of merged when Joey finished the Puzzle, so when the Ceremonial Duel happened, it was Yugi|Yami vs Kaiba. Yugi finally got to move on after his death, but...well. You'll see.
also given the Ushio in 5d's I feel a little sad--he's kind of cool. but he also was in the perfect position for this to happen, so...sorry there, Ushio, you drew the short straw. sorry about the homicide, buddy. try again in a different world I guess.)

Main Points:
Yugioh Fractured Pharaoh universe
Chapter Summary: faster to read it
Word Count: 175
Rating: teen
It’s surprisingly easy to move on. Of course Jounouchi mourns and misses his best friend, but the world keeps turning.
He doesn’t turn his friends away, especially as, well—Yugi, Atem, whatever you call him—had left him to be the leader on his own, to keep them all from falling apart.
The weekly visits to the grave help. Shizuka had been worried, until she’d come along one day.
He’s just as full of life at school, just keeping his friend up to date with the latest (like his attempts to woo Mai—he’s sure the other would be interested, considering how much he pushed them to be a couple before he’d left).
And he knows that, someday, he’ll join his friend and Mahaad and all the others, but there are those he has to take care of—like Grandpa Muto, like Shizuka—and stories he has to live through so he can tell his friend, and learn more games so he can be teaching the Pharaoh for once, rather than the other way around.
