I've reached a point in my game where everything I do is wrong and I need to undergo some serious changes to even stand a chance. Ignore me while I pout a lot.

Téa’s troubled look eases slightly as Yugi nuzzles her hand slightly in his sleep, like he’s younger and innocent again.
She starts as Yugi’s phone starts ringing and quickly answers it before it can wake up the sleeping Muto. He looks exhausted, and Téa’s still not over the shock herself. He deserves to sleep.
“Does it amuse you to send every nutcase talking about destiny my way?” It’s…Kaiba. Sounding none too pleased.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about, and I’m pretty sure Yugi doesn’t either,” she whispers into the phone. There’s a long silence on the other hand. Kaiba clearly hadn’t expected that.
“Put Yugi on,” he demands eventually, and the man in question shifts slightly, moaning in his sleep. Another silence. Then he’s bellowing at the top of his lungs, “GARDNER, WHAT’S GOING ON?”
A steady hand takes the phone from her, and she looks down to see Yugi, regal Game Face on as he nods to her with a brief smile. He still looks exhausted, but seems to be taking strength from where they’re still holding hands.
“Nothing of what you’re thinking, Kaiba. I seem to have entered difficulties entering Domino City.” The voice is deep. Yugi’s serious. He sits up slightly, leaning against her since both hands are occupied, and squeezes her hand in reassurance. “If you’ll look out of your windows, you’ll notice what appears to be a giant dome of black clouds around the city.” Now that he looks, really looks, he can see something encasing the city on the far horizon, but the closer it comes to where he’s sitting the harder it is to make out.
Kaiba makes an irritated noise. “Don’t tell me that lunatic was legitimate. When will people wake up and realize that they can’t just flock to the nearest charismatic madman with pretty words and false promises?”
Yugi sighs. “Unfortunately, not everyone is as strong-willed as you or I.”
It’s completely inappropriate, so Téa fights back the giggle. Sometimes, that’s a good thing, she thinks with a fond smile.
Yugi raises an eyebrow but doesn’t question her—for now. “Now, what’s this about a cult?” he asks.
“Why, you make it your hobby to save the world, so I thought you’d know all about them.” Téa nearly steps up in defense of Yugi when she realizes her boyfriend hasn’t tensed at all. True, he prefers not to be confrontational when it comes to himself, but still, she would’ve thought it would’ve earned a reaction of some kind. Then again, Yugi’s always been rather indulgent of the ‘rich boy’s’ insults and—Oh my God, is that actually really shock in his voice and not some sort of mocking act? Kaiba really did think he’d know.
She sits in shock, almost missing the rest of the conversation.
“They call themselves the Society of Light. They took over a dorm at Duel Academy acting like they own the place, following an annoying fortune-teller they call Lord Saio.”
Yugi sighs heavily. “Let me guess, the very same madman you thought I’d sent your way?”
It doesn’t have to be a video conference for Téa to see the holier-than-thou sneer. “I should’ve put that man in his place some time ago.”
“We’ve both been blind, my friend.” Just like Yugi, always ready to share the blame. For good or bad. “Then again, I feel that’s not entirely accidental. I’d wager we’ve both been kept busy.”
“We’re threats,” Kaiba agrees, savage glee in his voice. For a moment, Téa imagines she hears the roar of one of his Blue Eyes White Dragons.
Yugi moves on. “I’ve sent Joey and Tristan to make sure Grandpa’s okay, since I can’t seem to enter the city. I’d make sure Mokuba’s all right. Then it’s the wall. It won’t go away until whoever conjured it…”
“…Is dealt with,” Kaiba finishes. From the sound of it, he’s moving—Téa can hear the ‘swoosh’ of one of his trenchcoats. “The tower’s on lockdown, now, and barring someone with better than my hacking skill, no one’s getting in unless I let them. If I find your cheer squad, I’ll tell them to go there and instruct Roland to let them in.”
A breath of air, close to the phone, and a more distant, “Big brother! What’s going on?”
The faint concern in Kaiba’s voice disappears entirely. “It’s a bad day to be wearing white.”
Yugi smiles faintly. “I’m counting on you, Seto.”
He hangs up and looks at her. “Much as I’d love to lay in your lap all day, we have an apocalypse to stop.”
“Must be a Tuesday,” she jokes, as he helps her up. She almost falls back over at the look of sheer love he directs at her on that remark, but manages to remain standing.
