Main Points:
Ace Attorney/YuGiOh crossover universe. Or something. (Duel Destinies!)
Summary: Klavier has something to tell Apollo.
Word Count: 265
Rating: Gen
Apollo Case I spoiler (of perpetrator)
At first, Apollo’s a little confused when they keep moving, before he realizes. Of course. Kristoph probably has the whole school bugged, and his brother would know someplace safe to talk if anyone did.
Eventually they make it to a darkened stage, and Klavier stops and turns. It makes sense he’d come here, to the home of music. It relaxes him, except when he’s playing diva on the stage.
The lights turn on, and Apollo frowns in confusion. He’s pretty sure the velvet curtains weren’t here before. He has to put the hand over his eyes when the spotlight turns on, and when he can see again there’s a spotlight lighting up Gavin as well. …who’s working the lights? Music starts up, heavy on the drums, and he feels his heart match the rhythm. I really do not like the look of this.
“Klavier, what’s going on?”
The blue eyes are clouded, and there’s a blank expression on Klavier’s face. “Sorry, Justice, but Klavier’s not here at the moment. If you leave a message, I could deliver it once you’re permanently in the Shadow Realm.” The voice is Klavier’s, yes, but there’s a duality to it, and the usual accent is barely present. Besides that, only one person calls him just ‘Justice’. He really should’ve noticed that clue earlier.
He grits his teeth. “Kristoph, what have you done?!?”
The maniacal grin is definitely not Klavier’s. It looks unnatural. “Drawn you into a battle you can neither refuse, nor win.” The Klavier puppet snaps his fingers, and the shadows begin to close in, eating the whole theater.
