Souji's Shadow First Draft

Okay, this is how it starts an abandoned conception of how it starts, because it feels a little off and I can't figure out how to follow it up.  I mean, I can, but not a believable way.  And this is as AU as it gets.  For the most part, events go the same/similar to canon from here, though it does change relationships around a little.  The fics may be revisited when I New Game Plus.  (I'm still trying to beat that stupid sea fish.  I'm starting to wonder if I should leave him for the next playthrough, though, as I've replayed the rainy day over and over and no fish, despite having all the prereqs.  I wanna rescue Marie, cause that's new.)
