A Pair of Awkward

Main Points:
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Summary: Giorno does happen to be multilingual.
Word Count: 290
Spoilers for the end of Vento Aureo/Golden Wind.  Like canon, ambiguously shippy (mostly because Mista still has no idea he's actually in love with Giorno. he's a bit oblivious that way)
Occurs after A Little Treat
Spoilers are minor this time

“The animals look well-cared for.” Giorno looks pleased.
This is a good thing, because it means Giorno probably won’t get any funny ideas about letting all of them out to roam the streets and menace civilians. It’s not a guarantee. The boss can be a little unpredictable at times.
“Well, of course I read the reviews,” Mista explains, biting off another ‘boss’ and feeling a little awkward.
Giorno merely hums. His hands are in his pockets, and like this, he looks deceptively normal. Young. Guido catches himself wanting to throw his arm around the younger man, lean in. He refrains, because he’s being ridiculous and Sheila E shouldn’t have said anything. Giorno looks as classy as he is, even if he looks like potential jailbait this way, and Mista’s outfit is just about as casual as ever, with the leopard print (it was mostly clean and it was a change from his usual) and a sleeveless Clint Eastwood shirt that has him feeling off-balance with his arms exposed and his stomach covered.
“In English, they call them a leap of leopards,” Giorno states suddenly, and Mista realizes that he’s been spacing out for a while, now.
“What?” He realizes he sounds uneducated. “That’s kinda weird.”
Maybe Giorno would’ve fit in just fine with their weird conversations.
“It was a status symbol. Those of higher social classes would learn all of the odd collective nouns. English has more than other languages, supposedly.” Mista’s first reaction is that this sounds a little ridiculous and like a lot of work, but for once he doesn’t blurt it out, which is good. Because it also sounds like that might be one of Giorno’s hobbies, and it’d be rude to make fun of that, right?
