Dream: Buffy World of Darkness

Vamp!Xander got kidnapped by a Camarilla vamp, tied up and left in another room while the Camarilla vamp frenzied and ripped apart a bunch of humans. Apparently this was planned? I’m not sure why that was the plan or how it would help anything. Maybe, like, a ‘stop being Sabbat, this is what you people do’, but??? He found it very traumatizing. (Xander and Spike specifically I could see being high Humanity vamps.) Spike finds him, rips apart the Camarilla vamp, and rescues Xander (specifically kissing his wrists where the restraints were, which is a very Spike thing to do).

Notes:

*The Aurelius is a bloodline (not sure who they’re an offshoot of) but their whole thing is seeking more power without limitations. They used to be big fans of diablerie before that was decided to be too dangerous (mostly because they had to kill a few of their elders and weren’t happy about the loss of power/status). They’re Sabbat, specifically because they don’t give a damn about the Masquerade and often attempt to break it.

For the most part they do care enough to induct members into the bloodline unless they’re trying an experiment.

*The Camarilla doesn’t say it, but a big reason the Masquerade even exists is actually to protect from Slayers specifically. They make out like Hunters aren’t a big deal—and most of them aren’t—but Slayers are generally exceptions. An Antediluvian could kill them without breaking a sweat, but most vamps are significantly weaker. Slayers are not called Vampire Slayers, though. Because their prey often isn’t vampires—they tend to go after demons and bigger prey. They will go after vampires, but they usually think of them as low-priority. Not a lot is known about Slayers, as they’re a lot more secretive, and there’s actually a trained hit squad that goes looking to try to kill Slayers and maybe find a way to end the bloodline. Most of the time they just trail after finding the creatures of the dark the Slayer has seen fit to Slay and occasionally meet a nasty end from leftovers or the Slayer getting tired of hangers-on (and then are replaced).

*Xivilai-no idea what this means, but it seemed pretty important and my mind kept trying to insist it was a parallel to Olvudai, so. Maybe there’s a myth that this bloodline isn’t even actually originally from Earth? IDK.

*Xander was an experiment. Angelus was trying to work out if he broke a human’s brain and then Embraced that human if he could mimic Malk characteristics. It sort of worked. He then basically abandoned his Childe.

*He wasn’t happy when Xander then made a Childe of his own, but Spike managed to impress him, so he just kind of shrugged his shoulders and gave up as long as they basically stayed out of his way. Occasionally Spike will play the influence game and win Angelus more favor and influence, such as when he brought back proof of having actually killed a Slayer (it was half luck, but no one needs to know that). Angelus was furious and close to dusting Spike, but he’d presented it as if Angelus was the one who ordered it which made the Master very pleased. Half of what ticks Angelus off is that Spike hates the politics but he’s good at it when he wants to be.
