I’m pretty sure Kirk just figured out what happened.  And people say he’s dumb.

Eewww, evil!Jim doesn’t care about consent.  But then, if it’s Opposite Day, then Kirk who mostly only cares about consent wouldn’t.

This is actually pretty creepy.  Especially given the time period.

Mannn this is a surprisingly dark episode.   “I wouldn’t have mentioned it.  I didn’t want to get you in trouble.”

Law addendum: Are the skin-fixing instruments (I’m forgetting the terminology) available to everybody?  Otherwise, he had to have seen McCoy or one of the medical staff to fix the scratches.  (Of course, McCoy as a friend might cover it up.)

Drop supplies.  There have to be some things they can use to at least survive the night.

And he immediately ignores Spock because he can’t let his crew be in danger and he follows his heart.
