Apollo Case I spoiler (of perpetrator)
The sneer is definitely Kristoph. “What, you don’t like it, Justice? Dearest Apollo,” he purrs darkly. “After all, my whore of a brother was going to betray me, just because of a pretty face. You poisoned his mind. It wasn’t quick, but you’re a patient man, like me, aren’t you?”
Apollo stares, shocked. He’s never heard the man sound so angry, let alone insult his brother like this. Kristoph continues, “Then again, that’s what drew you to him, wasn’t it? The fact that my brother is so spineless and weak-willed, so easily led astray.”
“He’s stronger than you give him credit for!” Apollo yells, and Klavier shakes his head.
“Not quite, Justice.” That’s a creepy grin. “After all, it was easy enough to take over his mind. But I’m sure what you currently care about is getting him back, right?” The laugh isn’t Klavier’s either. “Well, this will become a Shadow Duel. You win, you get my brother’s soul back. Fail, and his soul and yours can keep each other company in the Shadow Realm for eternity. And, of course, should you choose to abandon my dear brother, I will simply have no use for him.”
“You would throw away your brother’s soul like it’s just trash?” Like hell Apollo was walking away from this fight. Kristoph needed to be stopped, and he wasn’t about to abandon a friend. Or whatever. Klavier needed someone to save him, and if he just walked away it’d pretty much be the same as sending the guy to the darkness himself. “Let’s duel.”
Kristoph in his puppet body grins maniacally and readies his duel disk as well.

The light becomes more intense, and there’s an iconic pole out there that wasn’t there before. So the weird vibe from before wasn’t just a coincidence. Apollo gulps. “What’s with the décor?”
